update on marigold...and such.

hi ya'll...this is my first time in just over a month that i've had a minute to breath and reflex on this past summer. personal and business can sometimes mesh because a lot of my business, is a lot me! :) my families dream came true. we recentely purchased a mini farm, and have A TON OF SPACE NOW. which means, my husband can no longer tell me i'm filling up the garage with stuff and to stop. :) (right, matt :-)). so, you better believe that pupppy is filled to the brim right now with stuff to sell and rent.

FEW UPDATES:

BARN SALE now HOLIDAY SALE: i have been receiving a ton of emails about the barn sale...so, this move has taken a lot more out "ME" than i anticipated. the vision is to create something annually, that is filled with the very best vendors. instead of the barn sale, we are creating a holiday warehouse sale. same concept, same amazing finds...stay tuned.

BOOKING WEDDINGS: we've started receiving deposit for next wedding season already. which means, if you're thinking about using us, let's connect to see how marigold can help out.

PROPERTY RENTAL: we have space at our new house, and it's pretty...and perfect for your next photoshoot {family, maternity, catalog, etc}. and it's for rent. we just had Dutch Bros. out to shoot their fall catalog, super cute. they did a back to school theme with some old lockers, chalkboards - can't wait to see the photos. we plan to put together a little package so you use our cool stuff AND, our fields. tomorrow we have an engagement shoot happening.

we had the great pleasure to work with ms. brittany b and derek. she's a lovely young lady, and her hubby is as equally awesome. on our first visit, they both came into the warehouse with such excitiment, love and a great vision on how they wanted to incorporate their special day with vintage items. derek, her hubby, was just running through saying - let's do this, let's do that {way to go}. anyway, there special day was held in july at a beautiful ranch in the applegate valley. all pictures taken by {heather smith of house of james photography}!

well, the "wedding season" is slowing down just a bit for marigold. we've been delighted to be a part of many beautiful weddings. it's been a pleasure meeting with each bride and truly watching them make their dreams a reality. the best part over all has been making new friends with these ladies - i've really loved that.

the treasure hunt doesn't stop during "wedding season" though. we're always on the hunt so we can provide you with truly unique products. however, the countless hours of sitting in front of the computer surfing wedding blogs, pinterest and keeping current this blog, has been neglected just a bit. however, i wanted to post a few of my latest finds.

twilight inspired concept shoot

marigold was asked a few months ago to participate in an twilight inspired photo shoot. as you will see in later pictures, it's primarily focused for a fall wedding. (this is just a sneak peak as what's to come). i worked with the amazing, talented and creative - Ellie Williams, she recently relocated to the NW from NYC, Sarah Gray Photography, based out of Portland and Kim Brandt from Billede Design

THINK: Ralph Lauren ski lodge meets elegant gothic chic. Think beautiful northwest scenery and tablescapes with subtle dark twilight-esque undertones.

i'm anxious to share the full shoot when that fall weather starts to roll in....

reata the couch has arrived...

i'm truly of envious of people who have these creative, up to date and capturing blogs...sorry, i just don't fall into those three categories. it's a realization that i've come to - so, when i have a free minute, i'll just post what i can :)

so, today i picked up this new ivory colored couch. the size and curved shape was very appealing to me. and the second find today, was an amazing blue, chippy table. the top is a hard metal (or ceramic - i need to have someone look at it to tell me what the material is)...but, it's unique and cool.
